VALENTINES DAY INSTALMENT, 2023
sometimes lOVE IS found in the most unexpected places… but could you imagine meeting the LOVE OF YOUR LIFE on eBay?
On this project, as a mid-weight creative I was responsible for finding talent through community management, writing the top-line treatment, directing, interviewing, and creating storyboards.
For eBay's Valentine's Day instalment, the aim was to create content showcasing gifts that audiences could purchase on eBay for the occasion. However, the concept evolved when I discovered a comment from Sarah under one of eBay's posts, sharing that she had met her husband through an eBay buying and selling experience.
This inspired us to create an editorial piece featuring the couple and their unique story. The content successfully secured eBay a feature in the Daily Mail, along with coverage in other online outlets.

the process
A happy coincidence and some community management allowed me to come across Sarah's comment under an eBay post featuring wedding UGC...
2. I quickly messaged Sarah to see if she and Mike would be open to sharing more of their story. She agreed, so I drafted a proposal for the eBay client on how we could share their story with the eBay audience on social media.
After interviewing the couple, I developed storyboards for the design, which guided the creation of our asset (top).
